The Tobacco Row VA analog 443.500 repeater is permanently off-air due to the planned deconstruction of the host radio site. This repeater was put on the air in October 2009 and provided excellent coverage to the Amherst and Campbell County area including Lynchburg.
A new UHF DMR repeater is planned for an adjacent site, but an exact install date is not yet known.
